For the 2000 Legislative Council General Election, the Electoral Affairs Commission (“EAC”) has submitted the Report on its recommendations on the delineation of the 5 geographical constituency (“GC”) boundaries to the Chief Executive. The Government has tabled the Report at the Legislative Council as required by law.
The recommendations are set out in a two-volume report:
Volume 1, The Report, primarily describes the process of drawing up the proposals of GC boundaries and sets out the EAC’s recommendations on the boundaries and names of the GCs with the reasons for its recommendations. It also contains a summary of all written and oral representations made to the EAC and reproduces all the written representations.
Volume 2 contains a summary of the recommendations on GCs and maps showing the boundaries and names of the recommended GCs.
The report is also available for public viewing during ordinary business hours at the Registration and Electoral Office.
